APICS Student Chapter-Chapter Minimum Standards (ASC-CMS) required reporting 2014–2015

APICS established student chapter minimum operating standards and chapter management recognition programs to ensure student members are provided opportunities for a rewarding, challenging membership experience.

The purpose of setting minimum standards is to enhance the growth, development and value-add of APICS chapters by evaluating each chapter against a set of criteria believed to have a direct and positive impact on chapter performance. These minimum standards reflect the five categories of the Student Chapter Management Program: Administration, Education, Programs, Membership and Public Relations. These items reflect the minimum level of performance needed to be a viable APICS student chapter (ASC). Student chapters that do not meet these standards are considered distressed and in need of immediate intervention from their local sponsoring (parent) professional chapter and district.

All student chapters are required annually to submit evidence of compliance or non-compliance with the minimum standards. Each student chapter is required to deliver standards or program submissions for the 2014–1015 reporting period (April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015), by April 30, 2015.

Documentation may be submitted in one of these three methods:

Questions and additional comments regarding the policy can be sent to APICS Chapter Relations.
